Gerald "Jerry" Griffin

Gerald D. Griffin ’71, PharmD, MD is an emergency medicine physician/pharmacist in Pacific Grove,California. After receiving his doctor of pharmacy degree from Pacific in 1971 he went on to become a physician and served in the military for over 40 years. He also maintained a robust academic career with several faculty appointments and has published extensively on his research interests.He is an active researcher in areas of traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder,primarily focusing on returning veterans, and is dedicated to his work in the area of palliative care and hospice. In addition to his research and service to the community he is active as a military health care consultant to NATO and the Geneva Foundation. His legacy of service continues with this scholarship to help military veterans returning to pursue higher education.
