James C. King
Dr. James C. King joined the Pacific pharmacy faculty in 1962 and is remembered fondly by many alumni. He is credited with developing the doctor of pharmacy clinical program. An innovative and entrepreneurial educator, he created the first decentralized clerkship program that serves as a model today, placing pharmacy students in practice sites throughout California and Hawaii. He is a recipient of the Order of Pacific, the University’s highest honor, bestowed in 1992. This scholarship awards students who are actively involved in student professional organizations.
