Ralph L. Saroyan

Ralph Saroyan (BS ’64) earned his degree in pharmacy from Pacific in 1964 andreturned to his alma mater in 1970 to become the first director of pharmacy student affairs and to develop the School’s first externship program. During his 32 year career at Pacific, Ralph advised over 3,000 pre-pharmacy and pharmacy students. Because of his dedication to students, he was recognized by ACT/ National Academic Advising Association with the Outstanding Academic Advisor Award for the Pacific Region in 1985 and in 1997 he received the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacist’s highest honor, the Linwood F. Tice Friend of ASP Award. He also served the Phi Delta Chi Fraternity as Grand President for the longest term in the fraternity’s history. This scholarship honoring Ralph’s dedication and service to Pacific, the Fraternity and the profession, is awarded to a student who is actively involved in service to the community, exhibits leadership qualities and has demonstrated commitment to the pharmacy profession
