HealthForce Partners Behavioral Health Scholarship

HealthForce Partners has five scholarships of $10,000 each to give to MSW students who live/are from the San Joaquin County and have expressed their intent to work at the Behavioral Health Services or at another community-based organization service San Joaquin County residents following the completion of their degree programs.

  • Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress towards master’s degree attainment with a GPA of a least 3.0.
  • Students must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible non-citizen, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
  • Preference for students in the Behavioral Health Concentration of the MSW program.
  • Preference for students in the Hybrid program.
  • Applicants who are awarded the HealthForce Partners are ineligible to receive the Abbott Scholarship; however, students can apply for both.

  13. If awarded this Social Work Scholarship, you agree to the following terms:
    • Abide by the MSW Student Handbook, including addressing issues of professionalism and interpersonal communication. If you withdraw or are disqualified from the program, your scholarship will be pro-rated based on the percentage of tuition you are charged for the trimester.
    • Earn a minimum grade of ‘B‘ or ‘Pass’ in all required courses.
    • Maintain full-time student status, taking all required MSW courses and activities scheduled for each trimester
    • Remain in academic good standing by maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in the MSW program.
