Resilient California Social Work Scholarship - HCAI

Applicants who have demonstrated resilience and/or desire to serve in historically underserved communities are encouraged to apply as the university is committed to preparing MSW students to become experienced change agents who desire to improve marginalized conditions that impact underserved communities. Students with lived experience in these communities are encouraged to apply.

  • This scholarship is open to applicants regardless of geographic location.
  • Students may apply for the $10K scholarship once they have been admitted to the MSW program.
  • Please note that students applying to the Abbott Scholars program may not receive the Resilient California scholarship in addition to the Abbott scholarship. Students may still apply for both.

    • Abide by the MSW Student Handbook, including addressing issues of professionalism and interpersonal communication. If you withdraw or are disqualified from the program, your scholarship will be pro-rated based on the percentage of tuition you are charged for the trimester.
    • Earn a minimum grade of ‘B‘ or ‘Pass’ in all required courses.
    • Remain in academic good standing by maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in the MSW program.
