Abbott Scholars Nursing Scholarship
Students in the Nursing program who are Abbott Fund scholars will receive a scholarship and complete a sub-specialization in diabetes care and management within the health care specialization.
- This sub-specialization is designed for students interested in pursuing a health nursing career focused on diabetes prevention, education, and management in Stockton.
- Abbott Fund scholars in the Nursing program will complete a capstone quality improvement project in diabetes care and management.
The award timeline depends on receipt of gift from the funder.

- As a condition of receiving Abbott Nursing award, you agree to the following:
- a. Work in Stockton upon graduation as Nurse for at least two years.
- b. Remain in academic good standing by maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in the Nursing program.
- c. Earn a minimum grade of ‘B-‘ or ‘Pass’ in all required courses.
- d. Maintain full-time student status, taking all required ELMSN courses and classes and activities scheduled for each trimester; and
- e. Abide by the ELMSN Student Handbook, including addressing issues of professionalism and interpersonal communication.
- f. If you withdraw or are disqualified from the program, your scholarship will be pro-rated based on the percentage of tuition you are charged for the trimester.
- g. By accepting this scholarship, you agree to participate in Abbott Fund and Abbott Scholars alumni events and remain in contact with the ELMSN program through responding to emails sent by the program.
